27th International Ceramic, Bathroom and Kitchen Fair (UNICERA), which is the second largest international fair in the industry, opened its doors at TÜYAP Fair Convention & Congress Centre. The show will exhibit products and consider systems such as design, technology, production and installation. Mr. Bahadır Kayan gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Fair, stating that the joint values created by the sector were communicated to overseas markets, that UNICERA provided the opportunity to share these values in the domestic market, that UNICERA has reached a very important point in the international arena, and went on as follows: “This fair is very well known abroad. Having become the world’s second largest fair in its field, UNICERA has become an international meeting point.”
100 major US firms to visit Turkey
Giving two positive announcements concerning the sector at the fair, Mr. Kayan said: “We, as the Ceramics Promotion Group, are working effectively in the international arena. In June this year, we will be hosting a purchasing delegation from the USA, which is one of the world’s most important markets, creating the opportunity to offer our products and our designs to 100 major firms in the USA. In July, on the other hand, we will be featuring our products in a design project at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, which is followed with interest in England and which runs for two months, and where we are one of the sponsors. Over 200,000 people are expected to follow this event. I believe we will raise the bar for our sector with these two projects.”
UNICERA is expected to be visited by 70,000 local and foreign people from 100 countries in five days. Purchasing delegations from seven countries will be negotiating sales at the fair, housing the stands of over 300 firms. The Fair will end on 28th February.
