Since its foundation, Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group runs diverse activities from participating fairs to organizing special events. By supporting branding and promotion activities abroad and claiming ‘Turkey is the land of ceramics’, Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group strengthens Turkish ceramics’ global image. This effort of communication and promotion of Turkish ceramics reflects positively on ceramics exportation of Turkey. According to the export data of 2011, tile exports of Turkey has increased to 521 million dollars and export of sanitary ware products has reached 179 million dollars in 2011. While today Turkey maintains its position in the worlds’ ceramic tiles and ceramic sanitary ware exportation as being one of the fifth countries in value terms, due to its growing market share in the existing export countries and establishing strong and permanent business relationships in the new markets, 3.5 billion dollars of exportation value is targeted for ceramics sector to reach in 2023 by Turkish Exporters Assembly.
As always being Turkey’s one of the best trade alliance, Germany was the first exporting market for Turkey both in ceramic tiles and sanitary wares in 2012, too. According to the 2012 statistics in value terms, Turkey’s exportation of tile to Germany reached to 66 million dollars and export of sanitary ware products reached to 25 million dollars.
Ceramic production know-how in Turkey developed by different civilizations over 8000 years have being blended with modern technology and creative designs by Turkish ceramic companies, in recent years. Contrarily of Europe, Turkish ceramic industry is able to get over the global economic recession with significant growth. As a reflection of this growth, for the 25th time, Turkey welcomed ceramic sector at UNICERA International Ceramic Bathroom Kitchen Fair which is one of the top two European fairs in its field. 26 members of Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group which were Altın, Bien Seramik, Creavit, Doğvit, Duratiles-Duravit, Ece, Ege Ceramic & Sanitary ware, Esvit, Güralvit, Graniser, Hitit, Idevit, Kale (Çanakkale Ceramic – Kalebodur), Kütahya, Seramiksan, Seranit, Serapool, Serel, Söğütsen, Turan Seramik, Turkuaz Ceramic & Sanitary ware, Umpaş, Uşak, Vitra, Yurtbay and Yüksel attended Unicera by showing their latest innovative and fashionable products at their specially designed stands. During UNICERA, Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group welcomed its guests at its VIP Lounge located on the 2nd floor at Buyukada and Kınalıada Salons of TUYAP, same as last years. Special clients of leading ceramic companies and editors of international sectoral magazines could take a rest and benefits of VIP Lounge such as free wi-fi connection, open Turkish cuisine buffet and locker services.
As part of UNICERA, Turkishceramics invited the editors of international and regional sectoral magazines as Ceramic World Review, Tile International, Tile Magazine, Domus, Edge, Middle East Interior, Domoi, Ceramic and Sakhteman Magazine and Tiles of India. The editors had the opportunity to have interviews with the representatives of Turkish Ceramic companies and get detailed information about their exportation and marketing strategies while they were visiting their stands. At press presentation, they were also informed about Turkish ceramic industry, its 8000 years background and the latest situation by the Chairman of Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group Bahadır Kayan.
As a large commercial relation between Turkish ceramic companies and German business partners is already created, ‘Turkishceramics’ is willing to strengthen this friendly and commercial relation with German business partners. For this reason, between 12nd and 16th of March, Turkish Ceramics Promotion Group will be participating to ISH 2013 fair with a 30 m2 info stand at Hall 3 number F 93.
